self-refueling robots: the new robots

so it seems that there are two new robots on the loose. terminator indeed. the first, EATR, is a battlefield robot that can collect fuel for itself but harvesting organic matter. the developers claim, though, that EATR will only consume plant matter, not human or animal flesh. but one can hope.

the second robot is the PR2, designed by Willow Garage (whose founder, scott hassan, was one of the original designers of google). the PR2 is designed to open doors and plug itself in. PLUG ITSELF IN! aside from the man-made socket and the current running through the wires, this robot is basically unstoppable!
